M&M’S Racing wants to know what makes race day fun for you and your family? Last Saturday was the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona and our race day was made special by the presence of our close friends from Florida. We enjoyed spending the weekend with them and Saturday we enjoyed race day pizza and cookies. Aren’t these M&M Stoplight Cookies cute? They were tasty too. I had to keep everyone from gobbling them completely so I could take a nice picture.
| Stoplight Bites |
- 1 1/2c all-purpose flour
- 1/2c unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4t baking soda
- 1/4t baking powder
- 1/4t salt
- 1/2c butter
- 1c granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2t vanilla
- Red, yellow, and green M&M’s
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl. Set aside.
- Cut up butter and beat with an electric mixer until softened.
- Add sugar and continue to beat until combined.
- Add egg and vanilla and beat until combined.
- Gradually add flour mixture 1/2 cup at a time using mixer as long as possible.
- Continue to combine using a wooden spoon or with your hands if needed.
- For each cookie, shape 1 tablespoon of batter into a rectangle and place on ungreased baking sheet leaving 2 inches between cookies.
- Press red, yellow, and green M&M’s to make the stoplight lights
- Bake 8-10 minutes.
Yum! Out of 26 cookies I would up with only 6 to photograph. They were that good!
