Ella’s Kitchen Giveaway – CLOSED

Ella’s Kitchen was founded by a dad in the UK who was looking for asnack for his daughter that was healthy and tasty while being portable, convenient, and fun for her to eat. This resulted in the creation of Ella’s Smoothie Fruits and Ella’s 1 Baby Food. The 100% fruit and veggies foods contain no sugar, salt, water, preservatives, thickeners, E Numbers, Genetically Modified ingredients, fructose, corn syrup, diary, egg, wheat, or lactose.

Sweet T wasn’t too eager to begin solid food and now that she’s eating solids daily, she’s kind of picky about what she eats. We generally have to mix any new foods she tries with pears just to get her to eat it (you can see why I’ve avoided meat so far!) That’s why it’s pretty impressive that Sweet T loves her Ella’s Kitchen organic baby food. Maybe it’s because each pouch has a fruit blended in? Sweet T just knows it’s tasty.

Since Sweet T is transitioning from breast milk to solids,
constipation can be a problem for her if we’re not careful. For this
reason, I chose the butternut squash, carrots, apples, + prunes food
for her first sampling of Ella’s kitchen since it had the most fiber
(3g). She ate the whole pouch without a single funny face. Success!
She preferred spoon feeding, but enjoyed chewing on the “spout.”
I tried squeezing the bag a little while she was chewing to see if
she’d go for eating it up that way, but she didn’t like the idea. She
has since tried several more flavors with Broccoli, Pears, + Peas
being her favorite.

Older babies and children will love slurping up their Smoothie Fruit
pouch! What a neat way to make eating healthy foods fun. I personally
love the pouch format for on-the-go. It slides easily into the inside
pockets of the diaper bag and when feeding time comes I just squeeze a
bite onto her spoon. Any unused portion can be stored by replacing the
cap and storing in the refrigerator, but we haven’t had the
opportunity yet since Sweet T always eats every last bit.
